Y-12E

  The Y12E Aircraft is a twin-turboprop STOL general purpose aircraft which was developed by Harbin Aviation industry CO., LTD. (HAI/HAFEI: a wholly owned division of Harbin Aviation Industry Group) of Harbin, Peoples Republic of China (PRC). It is a follow on design of the proven Y12-IV. The Aircraft is predominately constructed of aluminum and is built using conventional semi-monocoque construction techniques. The Y12E is a high-wing monoplane with a single tail and non-retractable, tricycle landing gear. The Y12E aircraft was certified by the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) on December 31st, 2001.   The Y-12E is a versatile, utilitarian airplane that can be adapted to a variety of mission profiles including: passenger transportation, including both corporate and/or commuter; an all freight configuration and  “combi” (convertible freight and passenger). The Y-12E can also be modified to be used for parachute jumping, air dropping, maritime survey, aerial photography, geological survey, forestry seeding and is an excellent platform for slow flying high visibility tourist applications. This rugged, well-built airplane is also certified to operate to and from unimproved runways without modifications.
